We have visited Croatia only a couple of times before, both times in Zagreb much further north in the country. The first time was way back in 1986 and last time on the 'Give Me Ed' tour 3 or 4 years ago. So to us this will just be like playing somewhere new for the first time which always gets us going on stage and I'm sure many of our friends from Zagreb will be making the trip down south for this special show."

13.12.2007 Maiden confirm show in Poland

Iron Maiden are very pleased to announce they will be performing at the Gwardia Stadium in Warsaw, Poland on Thursday 7th August as part of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008.

Steve Harris says "This will be a very special show for us for many reasons as the Powerslave Tour was the first time we visited Poland all the way back in 1985 which was a really big deal back then owing to the country being under Soviet rule at that time. Despite what many people told us to expect of life 'Behind the Iron Curtain' we found only the most friendly of welcomes from the fans in Poland some of whom would save up nearly a months wages just to get hold of one our records at that time. So ever since then we've always tried to make sure we got to Poland on every tour as the fans there always remind us of that amazing time."

Tickets go on sale Friday 14th December via www.ticketpro.pl

Steve Harris says "We've mentioned before in previous announcements how exciting it is to be playing new places and although we have visited Bucharest only once before, way back in October 1995, this will be the first time our fans there will get to see Bruce performing the classic songs.  So this will basically like playing here for the first time for us and I'm sure the fans will be as fired for it as we are!"

Tickets go onsale today at 1pm local time - www.myticket.ro

11.12.2007 Maiden confirm show in Portugal

Iron Maiden are to perform at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Lisbon on Wednesday 9th July at the Parque do Tejo as part of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008.

Steve Harris says "I'm personally really looking forward to be playing this festival as I have a lot of close ties with Portugal because I spend a lot of time at my second home in Faro where I also have my 'Eddie's Bar' as well. So I will have a lot of friends and regulars coming down to this show. The Portuguese fans have always been very ardent and loyal followers of the band so it should be a great festival."

11.12.2007 Maiden stick with EMI

Iron Maiden today announced they have renewed and extended their historic 28-year recording relationship with EMI  for the World excluding USA.

Rod Smallwood commented, "We've had three tremendous decades working with EMI and have many friends there. Through many "regimes" EMI have always given us their full support and our relationship with their companies worldwide has always been excellent. We've got some great plans for 2008 and beyond, and I can't wait to get back on the road next year on a tour which appropriately celebrates the band's formative years. "

Tony Wadsworth, Chairman & CEO, EMI Music UK said, "Since the early eighties Maiden has been a flagship band for EMI and we have enjoyed a fantastic long term relationship. Now that we can work with and support them in their broader music activities, our goal is to help build on the foundations already in place for an even more successful future."

11.12.2007 Maiden confirm show in Greece

Big Star Promotion in association with Phantom Music Management and K2 Agency  is proud to announce that Greece will be part of Iron Maiden's spectacular SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME WORLD TOUR 2008.

Iron Maiden are confirmed to perform at the Terra Vibe Park  in Athens on Saturday 2nd August 2008.

Steve Harris says, "This is a great venue to play. We played there back in 2005 and I remember it being unbearably  hot but the fans were just wild and gave us a fantastic reception. I have to say that fans in Greece are as loud and responsive as any anywhere in the world. Thats the major reason why we have always tried hard to have Greece in out tour itinery although it can be tough geographically!! We also enjoy Athens culturally and we have all made more than one visit to the Acropolis and other beautiful relics. And the food is terrific!!"

The stage of Terra Vibe Park - one of the largest ones in Europe -  impressive, visible from all angles and able to lift 130 tons of equipment, will be perfect to host all the elements of the great show.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10.00am on Tuesday December 18th, but members of the Iron Maiden fan club will get special and exclusive first access to purchase tickets on Monday 17th December.  Watch the www.ironmaiden.com and www.didimusic.com  for further information!

Steve Harris says "We've got a lot of friends in Prague as we visit there as often as we can although this time it's going to be a little different as we're in a much bigger venue than usual at the football stadium so the atmosphere will be all that more special I think.
I remember the last time we were there at the T Mobile Arena and it was the opening show of the Eddie Rips Up Europe tour in 2005 and the reception from the fans was just incredible. Nearly lifted the roof off the place! It's always electric thanks to the energy of the fans and we're really looking forward to playing there again."
Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday 17th December.

Everywhere she performed with us last year she received a great reaction in front of both Maiden audiences and festival crowds and it's also good to have a support band along with us throughout this first leg of the tour as part of the travelling party on our 757 which as you can see on the website is taking shape very nicely!"

08.11.2007 LIVE AFTER DEATH Finally available on DVD for the first time

Finally available on DVD for the first time, EMI Records are proud to announce the eagerly awaited release of the Double Disc DVD of LIVE AFTER DEATH, the legendary recording of Maiden's four night stand at Long Beach Arena, California, in 1984. In the shops 4th February 2008 (5th in the US), the release will coincide with the start of the band's "Somewhere Back In Time World Tour" on which they will recreate many of the aspects of this original and spectacular show.

Disc one contains the recording of this full 90 minute concert.  Originally filmed on 35mm, the footage comes alive on DVD resulting in a visually stunning film that far outstrips the usual live video of the '80's.  The disc carries two sound options - the original concert audio specially mixed into 5.1 Surround Sound by Kevin Shirley, Maiden's producer since 1999, plus the original stereo sound track by Martin Birch, the band's producer from 1981 to 1993.   Originally released on video in 1985, this has been largely unavailable for the past 20 years

Disc two has Part 2 of the 'History of Iron Maiden', continuing on the Maiden story from "The Early Days" DVD, along with rare and unseen bonus footage in the form of BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN, ROCK IN RIO '85, and 'ELLO TEXAS, all in all giving a total running time of well over three hours. Plus of course the photo galleries, relevant promo videos, artwork galleries, tour dates, tour programme and other features which all combine to make Maiden DVDs a very special and utterly comprehensive treat for their fans.

06.11.2007 Dates for the Nordic tour

EMA Telstar are delighted to announce the return of IRON MAIDEN to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland next year with what will be the biggest Rock Tour that any band has EVER undertaken in these Nordic regions. Following their record breaking and massively popular sell outs at Ullevi Stadium, in 2005, and the multiple arena shows around the region in 2006, EMA Telstar have put together a concert schedule which will allow the band to play to at least 250,000 fans in the six stadium shows in the Summer of 2008. The full schedule is --

SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME World Tour 08
JULY 2008

Wed 16th - Stockholm, Sweden - Stockholm Stadium
Fri 18th - Helsinki, Finland - Helsinki Olympic Stadium
Tue 22nd - Trondheim, Norway - Lerkendalstadium
Thu 24th - Oslo, Norway - Valle Hovin
Sat 26th - Gothenburg, Sweden - Ullevi Stadium
Sun 27th - Horsens, Denmark - Horsens Gods Bane Pladsen

Comments Tour Promoter Thomas Johansson of EMA Telstar "We are all very proud to be making history by giving our rock fans the biggest Nordic Rock Tour there has ever been and certainly one of the most spectacular. Maiden is so hugely popular with the Nordic peoples that we wanted to ensure that as many fans as possible got the opportunity to see this very special show next year as we expect demand for tickets to be enormous."

31.10.2007 The Dates for the first leg of the Somwhere Back in Time Tour 2008

This first leg of Iron Maiden's 'SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME' World Tour will open in Mumbai India on Feb 1st, and continue through Australia, Japan, Los Angeles and Mexico, followed by the band's first ever concerts in Costa Rica and Columbia, and then on to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rica and New York, before finishing in Toronto, Canada, on March 16th. Over the 45 day period it is anticipated that Maiden will play to well over 400,000 fans in 21 cities in 10 countries, flying close to 50,000 miles in the specially refitted plane (full schedule below).

Comments Bruce Dickinson, "I have been flying commercial passenger jets for Astraeus Airlines for a few years now and we are commissioning an Astraeus Boeing 757. It will go in for overhaul, painting and conversion in November which will then give us time to ensure we have all the necessary safety documentation, especially with regard to fire safety. It also means it could possibly be flying commercial air routes decked out in Maiden colours for a couple of months before we start!

"Looking at the list of places we would like to play we have always had problems joining up the dots. With sea containers in various places it slows down the whole touring process, which is fine if you want a holiday but not if you want to play. It's great to see places but we don't want to sit around for a week waiting for gear to get from, say, Australia to South America, so this way we can get to more fans in more places en route in the same time period"
To tie in with forthcoming 2008 releases on DVD of the classic 'LIVE AFTER DEATH' concert video (full details coming soon) this tour, aptly entitled 'SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME', will revisit the band's history by focusing almost entirely on the 80's in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian Production of the 1984-85 'Powerslave Tour'. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere In Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.
Steve Harris comments "l always loved the Powerslave show which I think was arguably our most spectacular ever, so taking it out again is really going to be a lot of fun. Taking our own 757 really makes it a lot more flexible for us and we intend to ram into the specially constructed cargo holds as much of the show as we possibly can. The schedule we have been able to put together due to this flexibility l think is very exciting, taking us to some places we haven't been in a long while like Australia and some we have never been to like Columbia and Costa Rica. It is always refreshing going to new places and we hear the fans there are incredible! It's a lot of flying but will be well worth it.
"As always when planning these tours we sadly aren't always able to get to everywhere that we'd like to for various logistical and timing reasons
and there are probably fans out there who might be disappointed. We promise we will try even harder the next time around to get to those places."

28.10.07 The site is finally Open

Arrrrrghh Finally!! More than year of hard work and the site is open. I sure hope you will enjoy it.

First I want to say one big THANK YOU GUYS!! To all the boys and girls who helped me for translating and finding most of the materials, pictures and stuff witch are included in the site. I wouldn’t do it. Without them (well I might, but maybe in 2070:P ). So thank you! I won’t forget it. Let’s start with little explanation: This is an unofficial site with no connection to Iron Maiden. Most of the materials and information are taken from the Iron Maiden Official site, The Iron Maiden Commentary and other sites like Encyclopaedia Metallium Wikipedia and other Iron Maiden Fan-sites. Off course there is a lot to say and read for that GREAT, LEGENDARY AND IMMORTAL BAND so there are tons of materials, interviews and stuff that I hope you will find soon here As you see a lot of the sections of the site are still under construction But we are working hard to upload all the material as soon as possible. So Expect a lot of new material with the new updates. We are planning to make 1-2 updates every week.

This is Bulgarian Website, therefore the materials have to be translated and to be uploaded together with the English ones. If you think that you can help I will be very grateful and those who help will be included in the VIP group in the forum. And this will be the way to build strong BULGARIAN IRON MAIDEN COMMUNITY.

So if think that you can help or you have some ideas, suggestions or just something to share about Maiden, drop us a line
