Нека тук да споделяме впечатленията си за тази песен и всичко свързано с нея.
Ще започна с кратка извадка от интервю дадено от Стив и Яник за Aardschok.
Една от компактните песни в албума е "The Alchemist". Малко е различна, защото може да се впише в стар албум като The Number Of The Beast, по стил и звучене. Забавното е, че е написана от Janick Gers, който се озовава в групата доста години по-късно.
Janick Gers:
"Бяхме доста напреднали с албума, когато забелязах, че в The Final Frontier липсва истинска рок н' рол песен. Кратка, енергична песен. Заради това я написах. Мисля, че тя придава на албума необходимото разнообразие."
Steve Harris се съгласява:
"Наистина е класическа Iron Maiden песен от старата школа. За мен е кръстоска между "Be Quick Or Be Dead", "Man On The Edge" и "Montségur". Първоначално имах своите съмнения. Не беше ли прекалено различна? Преодолях опасенията си, защото все пак The Final Frontier не е концептуален албум."
